 Meeling Wong has been active in the luxury jewelry world for over 22 years. She started her career at Carolee Designs, where she spent 9 years and grew to become National Sales Director, and was recruited by David Yurman in 1995 as National Sales Manager to form an in-house sales & marketing team. In 2002 she joined John Hardy as President of the company and doubled sales revenue during her 3 year tenure.

Meeling founded her namesake consulting company in May 2005 , her clients have included; Jay Strongwater, Temple St. Clair, Konstantino, H. Stern, Hearts on Fire, Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty, Diamond in the Rough, Coomi, Mattia Cielo, Kimberly McDonald, Zadora Timepieces, and Padma Lakshmi.

Meeling was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, educated in England, and is a resident of New York City. Previous to the Jewelry industry, Meeling was a research scientist in organic chemistry.

We’re going to ask these questions and so much more.  We’ll discuss Meeling’s history working with big brands like David Yurman, John Hardy, Coomi and many more during her consulting years. Her advice and strategy has helped many designers perfect their collections, approach key retailers and maintain good relationships and grow their sales. The department stores work very differently than the independents and Meeling is fluent in their language. She will help all of us better understand the landscape of the larger retail operations for fine jewelry.
