Trade Shows are the backbone of a designer’s marketing plan. I believe that “bringing your work to market” has many benefits besides just the potential for meeting customers.
Having said that, I also believe in doing them when the time is right and when you have done great prep work and some solid marketing.
I consult to the Nielsen Jewelry Group trade shows (Couture and JA New York shows), and own globalDESIGN and exhibit designers within other shows. I also attend every NY event that’s good for jewelry designers.
